I was rather excited to receive my delivery of the new glass from Double Helix called Notos. When I opened the package, I must admit that at first I was slightly disappointed at the pale blue-grey shade of the glass. It didn’t excite me one bit. Anyhow, I though it best to give the glass [...]

It’s that frantic time of year for me where I seem to be permanently loading and unloading the car getting ready for each craft fair. I’m usually well prepared and take something to make in between the busy periods – this time Christmas decorations! These decorations are quite therapeutic to make and look lovely on [...]

I’ve recently returned from a lovely holiday at Ventnor in the Isle of Wight. It’s been such a relaxing time – sun, sea, reading and rest with the family. Just what I needed. The best part was the fact that I thought that the temperature was feeling positively tropical at 6 degrees! It’s been so cold [...]

Well, I’ve been battling weather the past couple of months and have missed out on a couple of Craft Fairs in Darlington Town Centre, so it was really good being there again today. Not as many stall-holders as usual, but a decent turn-out in any case. It’s funny that a cup of hot tea and [...]

Had a lovely day today on my craft fair stall at Darlington! Nice people either side and all around; the sun was shining and warming the gazebo; no wind; no rain. The sun also shone on my display and it positively sparkled. After a tasty cup of tea and a chat to some of my [...]

Welcome to Ciel Creations blog in all things to do with beading, lampworking and making jewellery. I’m planning to write tutorials which will be free to use, particularly in beading using various stitches such as peyote, brick stitch, etc. As well as what I’m currently up to with lampworking and jewellery making, which is such [...]
